Amazing experience fishing with Matt S. over 3 days.  Great communication and knowledge of the lake.  His boat and gear are top of the line which allowed us to fish comfortably all day with the most recent technology.  Matt was a pleasure to be around and took the time to explain what we were doing and the proper technique. Had an amazing day and experience fishing on the lake with my son. High Pole is definitely the guided service I will use again.  They are experienced, professional, and have the equipment needed (boats, tackle, rods, safety, etc.) and it's all up to date and in good shape.  They know where to take you and how to look for a the right catch.  They ensured we had all we needed, were great answering multiple questions we had about fishing, types of fish, and techniques. Definitely recommend fishing at Lake Anna with SB! He is so knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful, and fun! SB knows all the spots. My son comes back frequently to fish with SB and has learned so much about bass fishing from him! Highly recommend him for all ages.

I had an outstanding trip with Matt and couldn't recommend him more highly. From the moment we left the dock, it was obvious that he knows these waters inside and out. His knowledge of the fish, the patterns, and exactly where to put us on them was incredibly impressive. Beyond being a great guide, Matt is just a genuinely good guy. He's friendly, easy to talk to, patient, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. Whether you're an experienced angler or brand new to fishing, he makes you feel comfortable and is always willing to share tips and answer questions. His boat is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and all of his equipment is top-notch. Everything was organized, in excellent condition, and ready to go, so all we had to do was focus on catching fish. Had a great day on the lake with High Pole Guide Service’s Matt McCluskey.  When I decided to book this trip,  I looked through the profiles and thought it would be neat to fish with someone that did a lot of tournament fishing. Seeing that Matt was fishing the Toyota series of the MLF was what made me pull the trigger.  Matt kept us on the fish the whole trip and listening to his experiences was a bonus I’ll never forget. A real professional and gentleman with tons of knowledge. Can’t say enough about his willingness to share his knowledge and his passion for the sport. Had a blast fishing with Matt Strykul on Laka Anna. He knows the system inside out and put us on fish all morning, even though it was almost 100 degrees! Highly recommend! Easy to work with to set up the trip and we had a blast on the water. We did a half day trip with Matt McCluskey. He was an outstanding guide. We had two adults and two kids and he did a great job taking care of everyone and making sure that everyone was safe and having a good time. His boat was really cool and he made it really easy for us to catch several largemouth bass! Looking forward to having him take us out again when we’re back next year.

Great trip with High Pole Guide Service. My guide showed me all around Lake Anna, pointed out productive areas we didn't even fish, and shared a ton of knowledge about the lake. Highly recommend, especially if you're wanting to learn while fishing.
